Plateau Assy/Turgen

4wd tour to the vast and serene Assy plateau via Turgen gorge.

Turgen waterfalls, the Observatory landmark (Chupa-chups), endless herds and shepherd’s yourts everywhere. Overnight in tents near peaceful Shelek river on picturesque meadows.

Fee: $600 per car (1-3 people). West end only, there&back.

Full circuit: $1000 (descent to the east, via Bartogai lake). Very tough roads.

Season: Apr-Oct (dry weather).
