Kolsai & Kayindy lakes / Charyn canyon (bundle)

All of these popular tourist destinations are located in one area so it makes perfect sense to bundle them together.

Day 1

Departure at 7am. Coffee stop outside the city.
Almaty – Charyn canyon (3hrs ride). Easy circuit hiking, panoramic views, photo shootings, lunch on the go.

Charyn – Kaindy lake (2 hrs) Overnight in guesthouse in Saty village with in-door hot shower/restroom, wifi, home-made meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Higher standards hotels (up to $200) are present in the area (info).

Day 2

Saty – Kolsai lakes (20 min ride). Hiking to the 2nd lake (6,5 km one-way, 600 meters elevation gain). Grab some flipflops for river crossing. Back to Almaty (5 hrs ride).

Fee: $500 (1-3 people), $650 (4-6 people).

Season: Apr-Oct. Optional return via plateau Assy during summer months (+1 overnight in tents). 

Possible to bundle together with Altyn Emel and 4 canyons tour (grand circuit Zhetysy Golden ring tour).
